Baransu: The Coney Island Warrior

Real Name: Miguel Ángel Oquendo

Alias: Baransu

Origin: Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York

Baransu is a colonial-style street warrior forged in the grit and rhythm of Coney Island. As a young man, Miguel trained relentlessly to protect his community from the chaos around him. Lacking resources but never resolve, he built and wore a series of improvised suits — early prototypes of what he later called the Lawn Suit — each designed to enhance his agility, endurance, and resilience.

Through years of training, discipline, and hardship, Miguel developed a personal martial-arts philosophy and combat system he calls PME, an acronym for Physical, Mental, and Emotional balance. The philosophy teaches that only by mastering all three states can one achieve true equilibrium, a state of perfect focus, clarity, and inner strength.

Baransu’s lifelong struggle is not just with his enemies, but with himself — striving to maintain balance in a chaotic world. His PME discipline fuels his fighting style, heightens his reflexes, and allows him to harness a rare energy within his body — a force that becomes visible when his left hand glows blue, symbolizing his control of balance and harmony.

Now known as The Coney Island Warrior, Baransu stands as both guardian and philosopher — a man fighting not only for justice, but for the eternal equilibrium between body, mind, and soul.
